October Game Dev Log


Hello!

Obviously, the game dev logs did not end up being monthly. It's just far too difficult to discuss everything I've done in a month without spoiling all of it. I've been chipping away at day 2 and estimate I am around 40% done with it. Most of my development for Omma was out of engine with various notes, checklists, and drawn assets. Now everything is going in the engine finally. I've been waiting for this moment for a really long time.

Art Progress

  • Most of the sprites for day 2 have been finished. Thank god! There's only one left.
  • CGs have been planned. Not sketched or anything as I'm saving this for the end of development after realizing I have to redraw every CG from the demo.
  • Angel's outfit has been updated. Her sprite and portrait! I think this one makes more sense for her.




Writing/Eventing Progress

  • A lot of writing has been done in the real world in my notebook. Some of it has been implemented, but a lot still is missing  from the game itself. There's a lot of brackets for things I don't feel putting in the game right now that are in my journal. We'll get there
  •  A lot of lore/flavor text has been added! Most of the church's flavor text actually. It is the most fun for me to write this.
  • Half of the quests you do to progress have been implemented. 


That's all! Also, I didn't draw the one year ani art for the demo because I really want to celebrate after the full game is out. I did some concept art for day 2 which you can check out.
